my faith leanings

how i got here

Spending the first 28 years of my professional life as a police officer then a Private Investigator, my stepson died suddenly in 2000 which led to an about-face in life and the subsequent call to Ministry.

Working with an off-shoot of the United Church of Canada it quickly became clear that people just weren’t interested in the traditional church's approach of being "preached at" or of being accused of being “a sinner” just for living, any more than I was.

PHILOSOPHY

Taking that to heart, I came to reject the rote religiosity of “unworthiness” and instead embraced the more welcoming philosophy of spirituality.

As a post-denominational Minister without the historic institutional dogmas but in favour of core Christian spiritual beliefs, I respect all religions and spiritual paths, as long as they don’t advocate harm to others.

PROFESSIONAL BODY

A member of the Canadian International Metaphysical Ministry (CIMM), headquartered in British Colombia and sanctioned in B.C., Alberta, Quebec and Ontario, I’ve been authorised to solemnise marriages since 2001 and have served many hundreds of couples.

A Community Minister who respects all faith traditions, I am also a professional member of the International Metaphysical Ministry (IMM) headquartered in Sedona, Arizona, with a robust community of over 9,000+ practicing IMM ministers in 120 countries, and recognised since 1959.

On-call to funeral homes in Peel and area and trained as a Transpersonal Counsellor with an active practice in Caledon, I serve people during times of life challenges when they need extra support, and am LivingWorks ASIST‍ ‍trained in Suicide Intervention.

** A transpersonal counsellor integrates mind, body, and spiritual growth into therapy, which offers a doorway to profound self-discovery, inner healing and spiritual awareness.
